CLASS RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

 


 

1. All students will have a class notebook, in which, they will keep all of their graded assignments, all of their class notes and a six inch clear plastic METRIC and ENGLSH ruler.

2. Students are expected to bring their textbook(s) and notebook(s) to class everyday. Points will be deducted from a student's grade, if he/she does not follow this rule.

3.All assignments must be turned in at the beginning of class, before the attendance roll is completed. Points will be deducted from any paper turned in after this time. Failure to turn in an assignment will result in a grade of 0 .

4.If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to get your assignments for the days you were absent. These assignments are due the day you return to class.

5. Textbook assignments are due the day after they are assigned.


6. The write-ups of experiments are due two calendar days after the experiment is completed in class.


7. Assignments must be turned on the day they are due; If you are absent, you can turn in any assignments on the day you return to class, if you present a note verifying the absence.


8. Your grade is determined by the accumulation of points. A list of each student's total points and percentage will be posted every Monday.


9. Attendance and tardiness do play a role in determining your grade. Five absences or fifteen tardies or any combination of both will result in your grade being lowered one letter grade.


10. It is expected, that you will spend time preparing for class,reading assignments or doing homework in biology each night.
