Describe how your teaching will be affected by what you have learned.  What did I learn today?

Harnessing Learner Passion, Classroom Tools for Tapping Learner Motivation , By Diana Joseph

According  to Diana Joseph, there  is a need for motivation to capture the learner's interest.
Some of the suggestions from her presentation would be quite beneficial.   It  would  allow  me
an opportunity to develop activities that motivate students and teachers, activities that will interest
the learner, to help develop confidence, activities that will challenege the learner, that will show
progress and reward the learner.

In what areas do you need to build your library's collection?
How might digital resources supplement your collection?
Describe any limits you see to using digital resources in your library.
(eq. computer access,etc.)

Presently the collection at my library needs to be improved and upgraded
at all levels and subject areas, across the curriculum, primary, intermediate
and upper grades,  all subject areas, print, non-print, fiction, non-fiction
reference, professional, etc.

There should be up to date computer workstations to accommodate the
needs of the students and the learning community which would make it easier to provide
digital resources as a supplement to the collection.

The limits that I anticipate ,are not havcing enough computer work
stations to accommodate the students and the learning community.

Describe your understanding of  Inquiry based learning and how it manifests itself at your school ?

Inquiry based learning seems to start with a guided question which sets the tone for the activities that will be provided,
inorder  to reach the desired results.  Activities may include, investigation/reserach, discussion, etc.  By working
in collaboration with teachers on various projects, in various subject areas, inquiry based learning is used to provide
a meaningful learning experience.

How might I use the museum resources presented today in my
library or with my teachers?

I would have a workshop in the Library to introduce the teachers
to the different types of museums that are available online.
This would take place during a Professional Development Day.

Each  teacher  would  have  an assignment to locate information
on a particular subject, using one on the   online muesum web sites
and provide information obtained  from the site.  Teachers would
also collaborate with each other sharing their  results.

WDILT:  Today I learned about the various websites that are available
