Students,
the Purpose of this project is to improve your reading and writing skills
and enjoy the excitement of using the internet. To complete this project,
you will:
- Visit
the authors' websites to meet and learn about author and select one
of his or her books to read.
- Read and view
a variety of books by the author.
- Work in small
teams to learn about plot development, character development, and
story structure.
- Write and illustrate
parallel stories using Kid Pix or Hyperstudio software which will
be published online for others to read.
- Engage in interenet
activities and games on the author's web sites.
- Take and pass
a quiz on each book read.
- Compete with
your classmates to see who can read the most books during the school
year.
