Wadsworth School is located at 6420 S. University Ave. Wadsworth is a feeder school to Hyde Park Career Academy.The immediate community is comprised of a few single family homes, but the majority of residences are multi-family apartment buildings. Presently there is a trend toward gentrification in the community with many newly constructed single family homes and more are planned for the future. A school-campus park was recently completed. It has given wadsorth a totally different look. Wadsworth receives students from the Powell School to help relieve their overcrowding. Wadsworth also receives students from a shelter located within the community.

Wadsworth's principal believes in utlizing technology resources. He has made certain that technology is available to his staff and he has encouraged his staff to take advantage of what WIT has to offer. Our school has been a WIT site for the past two years.Wadsworth also takes part in CUIP, hosted by U of C and GEAR-UP hosted by Roosevelt University. These programs have provided our school with additional technology training & technical assistance.
