Updating Bookmarks

It is possible that sites you have saved as bookmarks may undergo changes over time.  Netscape allows you to check bookmarks to determine if there have been any changes.  ( There are some programs that will do this automatically.)

To Update Bookmarks:

  • Click on BOOKMARKS.  (On a Mac, open the Communicator menu and choose Bookmarks.)
  • Select EDIT BOOKMARKS.
  • Select the title of the bookmarkyou want to check or select all of them.
  • Select VIEW from the BOOKMARKS WINDOW menu.
  • Click on UPDATE BOOKMARKS.
  • Select either ALL BOOKMARKS or SELECTED BOOKMARKS.
  • Click on START CHECKING.
