This module is an activity written to tell participants why they should consider saving bookmarks, to provide a set of specific written instructions on how to save bookmark files to desktop folders and/or to floppy disks, and to list the basic bookmark editing commands and their functions. For additional information, go to Using and Managing Netscape Bookmarks.
Rationale
Many of the labs are set to have the local computer drives restored to their original state each night. This removes all changes, files, etc., that participants have created on the local drives. Participants may choose to preserve their bookmarks by saving to floppy disks. Participants may also want to take their bookmarks home with them.
Learning Objectives:
The aim of this module is to provide participants with instruction for maintaining and organizing Bookmarks in Netscape Navigator.
Rationale:
Anyone using the Internet knows that Bookmarks are a quick convenient way to mark a web site that you would like to revisit. Bookmark lists often become very long, making it very difficult to find the site you are looking for.
Learning to manage and organize Bookmarks will aid participants in having easier access to locating sites in their bookmarks list.
