STARTER:

Make sure the following page is the default (home) page in both browsers: http://webinstituteforteachers.org

Please remove any extraneous practice folders on the desktop of the computer you are using.

Create a new folder on the desktop. Call it teacher guide. Go to the Teaching Guide module, and following the instructions for downloading and modifying the WIT Teaching Guide Template.

Define a new site in Dreamweaver. Define the teacher guide folder as local root folder. Practice downloading a file. View these hints if you need help.

GOALS FOR JULY 10, 2002

Complete a preliminary copy of your teacher guide. Be sure to upload your work to the CUIP server by the end of the day.

Review the Web Site Design module. On paper (the pulpy stuff), draw a visual map of the pages you would like to include in your site. Draw connecting arrows between pages you would like to be linked.

Discuss interactivity:

    • This site allows the user to create crossword puzzles, word searches, etc.
  • http://builder.com.  Click HERE for helpful guidelines.  Builder.com contains an endless supply of ideas and tips when building your own website.
