Announcement

Cunningham/Billingsley, Curriculum Webs: A Practical Guide to Weaving the Web Into Teaching and Learning will be published in May 2002 by Allyn and Bacon.

Chapters of the book (especially helpful to members of the Creating a Curriculum Web team) are available here.

Agenda

4:00 Review of last meeting

Scheduling training sessions (possible dates: March 14, April 4, April 11, April 25, May 2, May 9)

Introduction to Dreamweaver; 2 sessions

Flash Basics: 2 sessions

Sessions will be held either at FISKE School or the NORTH KENWOOD/OAKLAND charter school. I'll let you know.

Scheduling next WIT planning meeting (possible dates: April 11; April 25)

4:15 Craig on revision parameters

Revised modules must have:

Introductory material (to read, look at, refer to)

One or more Twenty minute Demonstrations (with instructions to mentors for the demo)

Forty minute Tasks (with specific product to be created and sent to mentor)

Thirty minute practice exercises (at least one per task)

Resources for further information

Each person will take primary responsibility for ONE module and also will be a "critical friend" for one additional module.

Notes:

Team leaders will not have primary responsibilities for any modules but will be final evaluator of all modules produced by their team

Frada and Ellen--our "handouts Co-Queens"--will not have primary module responsibilities but will be additional "critical friends" as needed for Basic modules

Craig and Bill are available as needed for support/ideas/reviewing during the process

Craig will produce "Introduction" modules for each strand

Mitch will produce a handout on "using the CUIP server"
