Use SSH Secure File Transfer to Create, Upload, and/or Download.

We can use this program to create folders on our Internet site, and to upload or download folders and files. This is intended to be a brief introduction.

First open the program, and connect to your site. You see a window similar to that below. Click your "www" folder to open it in the right side window.

With the contents of your "www" folder shown in the right window, go to the menu bar, click "operation" and under that, click "New Folder". ( Use Operation | New Folder )

This creates a folder icon, (see the red arrow) with a blank name space. Type the name of the folder you want to create in the box. You will need a homepage folder, a project folder, and perhaps an image folder on your site.

To upload files to your site, click the folder into which you want to place your file, and then go the menu bar, click "operations", and click "upload". (That's "operations|upload".) Windows explorer will open, and you will browse to the file or folder you want to upload. Select the file or folder (double click to select), and SSH will upload it for you.

Downloading is similar. In the SSH window, select the folder or file you want to download, and click the operations command "download". (That's "operations|download".) Windows explorer will open and you must choose the folder where you want to save the downloaded file.
