Intro
Sometimes it is difficult in Dreamweaver to get the line breaks
correct. This is easy to remedy in HTML. There are
two codes we use to create breaks:
The <br> tag (break tag) is used to create
a single line break. A new line will begin with no space between
the current line and the next line.
The <p> tag (paragraph tag) is used to create
a double line break. A new line will begin with a blank line
between the current line and the next.
Neither of these tags requires a closing tag (</br> or </p>)
because their end is implied with the next formatting tag. These
are examples of the "hitchhiker" tags I referred to
earlier. However, if you feel like giving them a traveling partner
by adding the corresponding closing tag, your page will work just
fine.
Demo
Using your browser, choose File | Save As...
Change the name of the file to "adding_spaces,"
select the appropriate folder from the drop down menu, then
click "Save."
In Dreamweaver, open the file you just saved.
Instead of choosing Window | Code Inspector
to view the HTML, this time we are going to choose the "Show
Codes and Design View" button. This button will "split"
your window horizontally, allowing you to see the the HTML
code and the actual page at the same time. So, without further
ado, click on the "Show Codes and Design Views"
button.
You can now click in the HTML portion of the window and
edit the HTML as you wish.
Using the text in the paragraph below, insert a break <br>
after the words "The Corrections" and a new
paragraph <p> after the sentence ending, "..in
an age of easy fixes."
The paragraph code does not affect indentation.

some fun. Unfortunately, her husband, Alfred, is losing his

lives.
Next, select "Lists" from the dropdown menu.
