The book, Curriculum Webs was very helpful in planning and over the first week when I read it. Then I used it as a source for certain ideas, like samples of Internet research assignement that might be engaging to students. The only use I got out of the handouts book was the rubric at the end. . . but some teachers at my school where I work might benefit from the handouts book.|the computer lab was conducive to getting work done. The only problem was on the first day whe we couldn't quite figure out the air conditioning situation. But after the first day it was cool and comfy.|The mentors were very patient and helpful. They explained certain things to me several times and watched me to see what I was doing wrong becasue I thought I was doing it right. Overall, they were great.|The orientation was great and got me excited about changing my teaching. The plenaries were okay. . . the "virtual field trips" gave me good and useful info but it went on too long and I couldn't see the screen (it was unfocused) so i started to develop a headache. The video movies on was very interesting, though I felt I won't be able to use the ideas or develop my own because of lack of equipment. The motivation one was interesting but went on too long. Even though I've criticized them, I will still use the information. It was just a little much on Fridays with the busses and some long speeches. The lunches were tasty. |I thought it was fantastic. I am actually going to use what I learned on a daily or weekly basis. My eyes were really opened to a lot of potential I didn't see before. I also don't feel as hesitant about technology. I feel that my class can try something even if it is over my head, and I will be able to learn with them, and keep them more motivated and engaged. Therefore, WIT should give to the participants and the mentors a real dreamweaver handbook which would explain in detail how to perform whatever technique the participants is interested in completing.  As a result, some of the Curriculum Webs, are limited in what skills they have learned.  |EXCELLENT. |To Be honest:  I think too much emphasis was placed on doing the project for the stipend. I did not go to sleep at all on any session which is how I can judge interest and content.  In each case, I will be able to take from the plenaries-something I can use in the classroom next year and some information I can give to my co-workers, friends at other schools, etc.  I am very pleased with all of the plenaries. The orientation was very informative, had clear behavioral objectives, and pretty much covered all bases.  I left with the understanding of where, what, when, and how.  I believe your logistic plan was well executed and adapted.|I have been positively affected by my peers and believe that I can build on these relationships during the school year.  I am positively glad to know that I will be able to use dreamweaver during the year and can still get supported by WIT.  This program has been intense and time consuming in terms of a teacher's summer vacation time (I had to cancel one) but I believe the long termed benefits outweight the short termed challenges.
