5. Using the Internet in the Classroom

The purpose of this module is to persuade educators that using the Internet can positively affect student learning.

6.Learner Description.

Many characteristics of the learners are potentially relevant to curriculum development, including their social or cultural backgrounds, learning styles and preferences, prior experiences, motivation, habits,attitudes, skills, knowledge, beliefs about themselves and about learning, and abilities. Each of these factors may be relevant to the most effective structure or content of a curriculum web." Cunningham & Billingsley
    • Read the Learner Descriptions section on pages 17-19 of Curriculum Webs.
    • Complete Activity 2B on page 19 of Curriculum Webs after reading pages 17-19.
    • E-mail your brief description to the WitEta mail list, all respond please.

7. Wrap-up

  • We will take a trip over to the university campus for the plenary. Please plan to be here for bus pickup (1:15)and lunch. Class will resume in 209 once we've returned to the school.
