I.

  1. Site of the day (Martha). Word of the day.
  2. Tell what we know, if anything, about tomorrow's schedule.
  3. Remind students that mentors leave early today.
  4. Quickly review what we did yesterday. Discuss the "need to digest" factor.
  5. Take questions.

II.

    1. Review WebQuests:  Their purpose and elements.
    2. Go over together the Building Blocks: http://projects.edtech.sandi.net/staffdev/buildingblocks/p-index.htm
    3. Look at Jay's start on a WebQuest:  http://cuip.net/~jay/t-4 and discuss what should come next.
    4. Discuss ideas of what can go into a WebQuest, the projects people are thinking about, how long they can/should be; what is the difference between a WebQuest and other forms of lessons; have teachers ever done anything like a webquest, perhaps without the use of a computer; how much project-based learning have people done; how effective is it, etc.
    5. Show templates and download them.
    6. Discuss the importance of resources, how to find them and store them while working on the WebQuest. rf:  http://webinstituteforteachers.org/2003/modules/webquests/resources.php
    7. Discuss "What should be in the Teaching Guide?" rf.:  http://cuip.net/~jay/WebQuestTemplate/t-lesson-template1.htm
    8. Make first revisions on template for personal WebQuests.
    9. Use FTP program to create a new "webquest" folder on server
    10. FTP templates to the server.
