II. Looking ahead

1. Remember to turn in forms and checks for lane credit.
2. On Friday go straight to BSLC for 10:00 a.m. Plenary.
3. Tomorrow we will fill out evaluation forms and have students demonstrate their webquests. Not much time for work.
4. Remember to create an implementation plan which is linked to your teacher page.

Take a look at Craig's new page on the implementation plan and also homeroom NU's implementation plan template.

III. Using Critical Friends and putting final touches on WebQuests

Students work with "Critical Friends" of their choosing. Guiding Question: If other teachers with similar needs should come across this WebQuest, would it be clear enough to be of use to them and attractive enough to gain their attention.

Specific questions:

  • Are the basics there?
    Both student and teacher pages?
Do they have: Introduction, Task, Process, Evaluation, Conclusion or the equavalent.
Does the evaluation section have Illinois Standards?
Does the Teacher Page have a link to an implementation Page?
  • Organization:
    Are the statements made clear?
Is the task well enough explained that students can be expected to go about it without a lot of further explanation?
    Is the time frame reasonable?
Are the resources adequate to the task?
  • Technical
Is there an active link for the teacher's email?
Are the links to the different sections of the document clear and easy to understand?
    Do all links work properly?

Are spelling and grammar correct throughout?
Is the font size and type consistent throughout?
Do images actually lend to the presentation, or do they distract from it?
Do the pages have a clear, neat and attractive appearance?
