NU July 10

Welcome

We will be at the Mentors Meeting until 1:45. Alex will be in the lab until we return.

Please initial the WIT_NU attendance sheet every day.

1. Please examine the module: Using the Internet in the Classroom. This module is meant to be a persuasive argument for Internet use across the curriculum in the classroom. Take your time. Work and share with your neighbors. Do the activities. Use the feedback button to tell us what you think of the module.

2. Site of the Day

3. We will complete the FTP module, connect to our WIT Internet sites, and use the FTP program to upload the folders we made yesterday.

This module is intended to be done independently. Please read the navigation directions carefully, and the information on each page. There is an image map on page 10 of the module which contains links to pages that explain the uses of of the various program buttons.

4. On the last page, a link to a tutorial will provide practice in uploading and downloading files using ftp. We will complete this tutorial before we upload our own folders.

Again, work and share with your neighbors. Do the activities. Use the feedback button to tell us what you think of the modules.

As we become more involved in the processes of WIT, we will need to be aware that we are required to leave the building at 5:00PM, and we should start getting ready to go at about 4:50 PM.
