3. Questions?/Teaching Guide...

Two notes from Craig Cunningham:

"By the end of this (third) week of WIT, you should have a complete draft of your Teaching Guide and be well on your way to completing your WebQuest or Curriculum Web".

Well, take a look at some of the WebQuests that Bernie Dodge (the originator of WebQuests) thinks are exemplary. See http://webquest.org/

Notice that many have "teacher" pages, such as:

http://students.itec.sfsu.edu/itec815_s99/mdeschamp/mdteacher.html
http://projects.edtech.sandi.net/lewis/anthem/t-index.htm
http://www.mamkschools.org/hommocks/class/h&c/nelson/Child%20Dev/Child_Dev.htm#teachers_guide
http://et.sdsu.edu/APaxton-smith/eslwebquest/WebQuest.htm

These pages discuss the goals, outcomes, instructional plan, assessments, etc., all of which are discussed in the WIT Teaching Guide.

Does anyone who doesn't want to do the Teaching Guide seriously think that your WebQuest will be BETTER if you don't think about these things?

Please read Chapter 1 and 2 of Curriculum Webs for a more thorough rationale for why the teaching guide is important.
