My name is Brenda Daniel. I love teaching children.
I knew when I was a little girl that I wanted to be a teacher. I always loved to pretend that I was a teacher. My friends always knew what game I wanted to play.

I attended Oakenwald Elementary School in Chicago Illinois. It is ironic that I am now teaching blocks away from where I grew up. I graduated in 1967.

I attended Forrestville High School, but  transfered during my freshman year to attend Harlan High School. I graduated in 1970.

I attended Chicago State Universityand graduated in 1975 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am presently attending Govenor State University pursuing a Master's Degree in Education. My projected graduation date is June 2002.

I have been teaching since 1975. I began my career teaching with the Chicago Public School System in
1975 until 1978. I decided to try the private school sector. I taught at Emmanuel Christian School from 1978 until 1999. I wanted to return to the public schol system to challenge my teaching skills.

I am presently teaching at Fuller Elementary School. I am one of the first grade teachers. This is my second year with The Chicago Public School System.

My philosophy of education is that children learn by doing. I believe children can help other children as well as themselves. There must be support in the home.
