Ice Cream Time Line
Writers organize their writing to make it easy for their readers to understand. To make it easy for you to understand the history of ice cream, I organized my writing by using dates. I began by telling you about ice cream as it was 3,000 years ago and ended by telling you about ice cream you can buy today. Before I began writing, I created an ice cream time line so I wouldn't leave any important dates out of my essay. You can create a time line like the one I made by rereading the story and filling out the time line I've started for you. Once you get the hang of it, try making a time line of your life and then use it to write your autobiography.
