The Task

Seven weeks to complete seven modules

Science Detective (s), your will earn a goal trophy that denotes that you are one of the best. Your first task involves learning how to "sleuth" by completing seven interactive Internet lessons. You must put all important clues in your "sleuth " journal. 


 

 

Mission:

  •    Learn how to solve a science fair mystery project
  •    Find the TOPIC for your science fair project
  •    Solve the mystery science fair project.

Tools needed to solve the science fair project:

  • A computer
  • A science board
  • The Internet
  • Science textbook
  • Dictionary and Encyclopedia
  • Teachers (science, art, library, technology, etc.)
  • Parents and family members
  • Anyone who can help you to be successful
  • A  "sleuth" science journal

1. Decide if you will work alone or with a partner.
2. Visit the following web site to learn about the Scientific Method: Science Fair Handbook: Scientific Method

3. Now you are ready for Worksheet 1 or graphic Organizer 1.

 When you have successfully completed it, you will then move ahead.
