Nigeria is a land of contrast containing rivers, rainforest, fertile farm land, primitive villages, modern cities, museum and national parks. Africa is the most misunderstood and least recognized for its vast accomplishments the world has benefited from. The official name of this country is the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nigeria is just a short form of the official name. Nigeria is located in Western Africa, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean. The capital of Nigeria was Lagos. As of December 12,1991 the official capital is Abuja. Abuja was chosen because it is considered to be a ethnically neutral area. There is no dominant group (social or religious) presently located their. Nigeria is a beautiful country full of many attractions: Museums and National Parks.
