Visiting Hours

I have an open door policy which means you may come visit room 203 whenever you like.  All I ask is that you please let me know ahead of time so that there won't be any conflicts.  If for any reason you need to privately meet with me, then you may come between 8:30-8:50 am or 2:30-3:00 pm.  If these times are inconvenient, then you may schedule another time by appointment only.  You may call me at school and leave a message or you may send a note through your child.

Emergency Information

Please, please keep me informed of any change of address, phone numbers, etc.  It is important that I reach you expeditiously as possible when your child is in need.

Attendance Policy

If for any reason your child is absent from school, please send a note.  Also, if you know ahead of time that your child will be absent please inform the teacher at least a half day or even whole day before, so I can prepare your child's work.

School Supplies

For fourth grade your child will need the following supplies:  folders, colored construction paper, notebook paper, erasable pens, pencils, crayons, markers, glue, and kleenex.  Please be aware that these supplies probably will run out, so it is important that you monitor your child's use of the supplies so that they will not run out!

Homework Policy

Homework will be given EVERYDAY except Fridays.  Also, homework is apart of your child's grade, so it is important that you work with your child to ensure that they are completing their homework daily.

Report Card Distribution

Reports will be distributed every 10 weeks and progress reports will be given out every 5 weeks.  Your child's grades depend on the work that they have done over each marking period.  The work that they do is based on the Chicago Public Schools Academic Standards .  I only teach information that is pertinent to the standards.  If you would like to know more information about the standards, please use the Standard Link.
