 This is the Home page for Nancy Wieting, who lives in Rogers Park with her husband Jim.  She received a BA in Art Education from Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York in 1971. She moved to Chicago in 1973. She worked in the graphic arts industry until she became a teacher for Chicago Public Schools in 1990. She received her Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College, Chicago in 1995.                                                                                                          

   Ms. Wieting is a versatile artist who enjoys painting, drawing, ceramics, mosaics and quilting. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her friends. She is on the teacher advisory board for Marwen and is a participant in the Field Museum's Field Ambassadors program.
    Ms. Wieting is looking forward to her first year at Zapata Academy.  She is looking forward to meeting the students and is excited about the artwork that they will be making together. She took part in the Web Institute for Teachers 2003 program this summer and hopes to incorporate the Internet into her curriculum.
